It’s here! Can I get a drum roll, please?! After years of professionally procrastinating and delaying, trying to be perfect, finding dozen of excuses, burying myself with other projects and the occasional gaming marathons….. I have managed to put myself together to write a book. But not just any book… this is the first book of the series focused on starting a business, running it, growing it, selling it even. All the ins and outs will be put in it…but all series have a beginning, and this is mine.
But it won’t be all that technical like my usual ranting on my blog. Instead, I have tried to simplify it so it can be read and enjoyed by everyone, or hated for that matter…. I am a pro-equal kind of guy you know. So all can either enjoy it or hate it, you can even use it for under that coffee table that keeps wobbling… BAM!…I just fixed that… YOU’RE WELCOME 😉
So what is this book about?
This book is about the basics of entrepreneurship. It is just over 80 pages, easy to read and I would even recommend it to give it to your kids if they are just starting (instead of following the fake ass mofo’s influencers promising 7figure income bla bla if you follow their 400,- courses haha). The book dives shortly into the concept of entrepreneurship and what it takes to become one, but for that matter, there is not 1 route to become one either. You don’t need this book to become one, but it kind of helps you to clear up some of the fogs and misconceptions about becoming your own boss or running a startup. It also discusses some obstacles you could encounter on your road to entrepreneurship and briefly point out how to write a business plan. Entrepreneurship is such a big subject that it is very hard to put everything in 1 booklet alone in 80 pages, but my intention was never to write an encyclopedia about it, neither do I claim ownership of the interpretation of the term. This is just to force you to think differently and give you your own “Ahaa” moment. You might end up loving your 9 to 5 job even after reading it.
Why did I write it?
Partially because I am bored, seriously….does anyone got something I can do? Jokes aside, this is something I always wanted to do, but this is also a process for me to note down what I know. I have noticed what I know is most of the time a result of many years of trial and errors (mostly errors) mixed with good old study and data. So it is not easy for me to convey this to a novice. Writing it in an organised but simplified manner teaches me how to become a better person. Discovering what I know but also find the gaps in what I still need to learn (which is probably shitload).
Print or digital?
I had to think really hard on this one because I want it to be available for everyone but I am also an old fashioned guy who likes to hold physical books when I read. But also I had to decide in what language am I supposed to write it, and some people rather listen to it than read it. So many options, so many people with different desires, but I had to make a decision. So I decided to write it in English as this is arguably the most popular language and has the most reach. I also decided to make it available only as an E-book. There is already enough trees being cut for random other stuff, let’s not waste it on things like books. I did however print 1 copy for myself to keep as a memento. Instead, I will also make it available as an Audiobook for the lazy readers who rather listen to a book ( I am one of those people)
When and where will it be available?
NOW! yes it’s out now and available with all major publishers. You can get it from Amazon Books, Apple Books, Google Play books and Storytell. The audiobook will become available at Storytell. I will put the links below so you know where you can get it. And the price? ….it’s just 0.99 usd haha. Make me rich! Money was never the motivation to write this book so I am not really doing it for the money but the 1 dollar is to cover the publishing costs. What I wrote is just information, and free and kind of useless, it becomes only valuable if you start using it in real life. So I am not here to sell you get rich schemes and 7 figure business plan bullshit…. just read books, blogs, make mistakes, learn from them, and try again. If you try to get rich quick, you will fail miserably.
When is the next one ?
Technically….it took me 33 years to write the first one, so I guess the next one will come out when I turn 66 :). Don’t worry you don’t need to wait for that long, the next one is already in the making. My plan is to write one every 4/5 months and finish the series in 2 years time if everything goes according to plan ( which never does ).
For now, I am really glad to finish the first one and get it published and if you like it, it’s a bonus for my ego 😉
